Here are few tips to the expecting mothers so that they can enhance the enjoyment at each meal. Remember you are not eating alone but for your baby as well.

1. Always eat in a quiet and peaceful environment.

2. Don’t consume alcohol during pregnancy.

3. Avoid nicotine and non-prescription drugs.

4. Make an effort to cut back on soft drinks and chocolates as one should not forget that they often contain caffeine.

5. Eat your food at slow pace, don’t hasten the eating process. Enjoy each and every mouthful you have.

6. Include more of fruits, veggies and whole grains in your diet.

7. After every meal take some time off, sit in a quiet surrounding.

8. Drink plenty of fresh water.

9. Take in low-fat dairy products.

10. Take less quantity of ice-cold foods and beverages.

11. Eat when you feel hungry as in later pregnancy one is bound to feel hungry many times a day but stop the moment you feel you are full.

12. Always keep the one-third of your stomach empty, eat but don’t over-eat. It’s not good for your stomach.

13. While eating involve all your six tastes.

14. One can include almonds and honey in their diet chart.

15. Avoid eating when you are upset.

Be careful while you are choosing food as you are not only choosing it for yourself but also for your unborn baby.
