1. Try to get your antenatal record along with you. Remember to wear loose clothes and loose shoes to allow your feet to swell while you travel.
2. If you are traveling for a long distance take a break after a couple of hours and walk around. Don’t forget to wear seat belt, though it would be uncomfortable but it is still important to wear.
3. If you suffer from pregnancy sickness ask for a seat over the wings as the ride is less bumpy there.
4. Check with your doctor if you need any vaccination and is it safe during pregnancy.
5. Carry along your notes, including your blood group, any contact number, allergies and health problems.
6. You must not travel in an unpressurized aircraft because this can significantly reduce the oxygen supply to you and your baby.
7. Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration and wear slipper socks, as your feet will swell during the flight.
8. Drink bottled water only and avoid ice cubes.
