Travel successfully with kids
You just can’t grind your travel life to a halt just because you’ve become a parent. Contrary to your prior trips, especially your honeymoon trip, where you just sat dreamingly staring out the window and taking in the passing scene, this trip will not be the same. Much of your trip will be spent soothing and entertaining your baby.

Though, traveling with kids can never be the same, it has its upside as well. Here are some strategies that may make travel with your baby a success.

Entertainment
To handle your kid during long journeys, bring along a bag containing a few of your baby's favorite toys, plus some surprises. These may keep him engaged for some time!

Travel gear
Apart from carrying a few basic essentials, here are a few things you might need:
• Large plastic bags: These are a simple solution for the temporary storage of messy items like dirty diapers, bibs and wet bathing suits.
• A car seat or a lightweight stroller for your trip.
• Pack at least one extra set of clothes for yourself and your baby that's easily accessible.
• Travel with a blanket, if traveling in winters.

Food
• If your child is breastfeeding, pack a water bottle or thermos filled with extra liquids to help you stay well hydrated.
• Carry ready-to-use formula milk, in case your kid is not breastfeeding.
• If your baby has started on solids, bring only as much baby food as you'll need for the journey. You can always buy more once you reach your destination.

Packing Tips
• Start preparing to pack a few days before you travel. Keep a running list of things to bring or put items out on a table or dresser as you think of them.
• Prevent leaks by packing medicines and toiletries in re-sealable plastic bags.
• Keep your child's outfits together in one suitcase so you can find them easily.
