1. Get your child to eat fruits whipped into a yogurt smoothie. Yummmmy they'll love it.

2. Avoid overcooking veggies, instead go for steaming or microwaving. This way it will retain more nutrients than boiling. Though small kids need mushy textures, older children prefer a little bite and may like to eat their veggies as finger foods.

3. Cut pieces of fruits and veggies and keep them in the refrigerator all the time, kids tend to eat it if it is there.

4. Get along your children to the supermarket next time and let them choose the fruit or veggie they would like to eat next day. By looking at the variety of vegetables available, as well as the vibrant colors and different textures children will be more excited to eat them.

5. Ask your child to give you a helping hand in the kitchen, like passing you the fruits and vegetables or even helping you wash them. If your child feels a sense of pride about the meal your family is eating, he or she is more likely to want to eat it.

6. You can try making faces out of the veggies and turn it into a fun game like what he is going to eat first such as eye, nose etc. and tell you what, he will love it.

7. At snacks time, always offer fruit as the first choice to the kids.

8. Kids love dips. You can serve some raw vegetables with dip as part of your meal or as a snack. You can choose from carrots, peppers, beetroot, avocado, snap peas, green beans, broccoli, fennel and cucumbers.

9. Make sure you serve veggies daily so they become a natural part of the meal.

10. Grate lots of veggies such as carrots, broccoli and peas into tomato sauce and spread it onto pizza base. Now cover it with cheese and put it in front of your kids, they will never know.
