1. Carry along wet baby wipes for a quick wipe-up for infant while traveling.

2. Never carry baby in your lap while traveling. Put them in baby travel safe seat preferably with bulkhead, especially if the baby is an infant.

3. Do keep extra baggage to dispose off baby’s used diapers while on run.

4. Carry along milk, cereals, baby food, hot boiled water along as you never know what you need.

5. Sterilized bottles and nipples should be carried if the baby is on bottle-feed.

It obviously depends on your needs. If your child is going to be alone with the sitter, then probably you need a sitter who is old and has enough experience in doing her job. However, if you plan to be at home and just need an extra pair of hands, preteens can also be a good choice.

There is a lot more to it than just this. New research, which in a way contradicts previous findings, suggests that a woman's brain gets bigger during new motherhood.

The study findings
For the purpose of the study, neuroscientists from Yale University analyzed the brain scans of 19 mothers two to four weeks after delivery and then again after a two to four month period.

The analysis revealed that midbrain regions linked with the experience of pleasure grew.
